• Deep mastery of at least one object-oriented or functional programming language
• Solid understanding of Bayesian statistics, networks, and classifiers
• A true passion for coding and the ability to inspire others to create great code
• Solid development practices including Test-Driven-Development, Refactoring, and Pair-Programming
• Fluency in Machine learning, statistical analysis, pattern recognition or Artificial Intelligence
• High proficiency with relational databases and/or tuning complex, extremely data-and processing-intensive mission critical applications to achieve the highest levels of performance
• A taste for exploring innovative technologies such as Ruby, Clojure, Git, Cloud Computing, Key-Value stores, RabbitMQ, Hadoop, Map/Reduce…
• Exposure to Agile practices, Extreme Programming, and Lean Thinking
• Outstanding academic record in mathematics
• A passion for startups
